The hybrid network and software engineer
Hey there folks! I like to call myself a hybrid network and software engineer! I realized that in today’s competitive environment the requirement for engineers is to have a technical skillset that includes a good foundation in network engineering and software engineering.
I started my career as a Security Consulting Engineer in Technical Support with Cisco and now work as a Software Engineer in Automation with Cisco Meraki’s Wireless Engineering team. With my career transition from network support to software engineering, I picked up a lot of skills that I believe are fundamentally important for an engineer who is following a similar path as I am. After much deliberation, I decided to start a blog where I can help my peers in the industry and academia.
All the information that I share through my blogs are not a re-invention of the wheel. They are topics that I spent time working on in my day to day job. I strongly believe that knowledge of these topics are valuable at any level in your career. I intend to use my blogs to inspire fellow engineers to learn, pick up new skills and build a community of strong, impactful engineers.
The topics that I share in my blogs span across the computer science and network engineering disciplines. I hope that this can give you some insight into my technical arsenal, and motivate you to learn no matter where you are in your career!
If you like what you read here, I hope you’ll be kind enough to share my blog site with your friends and peers. If you find that some topics need some more clarification/correction or if you have some feedback and recommendations, I am always happy to make those changes. Please feel free to reach out to me via email or LinkedIn!
I wish you all the best in your learning journey.
